From 1 April 2014 , the baby walkers sold
in Australia have to be complied with the new mandatory ASTM F977 2012 version Standard
Consumer Safety Specification for Infant Walkers according to Competition and Consumer Act 2010 of Australia.
The previous mandatory standard ASTM F977-2000 version for baby walkers may still be accepted until 31 March 2014 . The differences between ASTM F977 2012 and ASTM
F977 2000 are summarized as below:
