Canada ban small powerful magnetic in toys

On April 26, 2013, Health Canada issued a notice immediately prohibiting products containing small, powerful magnets.   Small, powerful magnets are defined as ones that can fit entirely within the small parts cylinder and that have a magnetic flux index of 50kg2mm2 or more.
This prohibition includes children’s toys that are or contain small, powerful magnets, as well as novelty magnet sets (for entertainment), regardless of the intended age.
