Why buyer often has some special testing requirement for toys in Europe??

For toys safety requirement,
most manufacturers only have EN71 Part 1 to Part 3 report; however, the safety requirements are updating by REACH Appendix XVII on toy article. Some buyers would then ask for more such as azodye, formaldehyde on plush toys; phthalates and PAHs on plastic toys.

On top of Europe safety directive, some countries could have stricter requirement such as Germany which has stricter toy chemical limits for 7 substances: lead, barium, arsenic, antimony, mercury and nitrosamines and nitrosatable substances.
