On Sep 2012, the European Commission prohibited the materials parts of jewellery articles if the lead concentration is equal to or greater than 0.05% by weight of the individual part, unless it can be demonstrated that he rate of lead released does not exceed the limit of 0.05µg/cm2/h (0.05µg/g/h)
Crystal glass and vitreous enamels are not regulated yet.
These requirement is adopted into REACH Appendix XVII already.
